We specialise in learnerships that are aligned primarily to the Transport Sector (TETA) and Wholesale and Retail Sector (W&RSETA). Individuals are able to articulate through our learning pathway in various workplace-orientated programmes. Some of our learnerships can be broken into programmes which address very specific requirements in the workplace.

OVERVIEW
The purpose of this programme is to facilitate training and educational opportunities for individuals currently employed in the southern African road transport industry or those wishing to pursue a career in this industry. Individuals will have the opportunity to specialise in either freight- or passenger-related fields. The training will be applicable and appropriate to companies where transport is a primary or secondary function.
PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME
The qualifying learner will obtain the relevant underpinning knowledge of road transport operations in order to apply this to all assigned functions. This programme has been designed to address the specific needs as expressed by the road transport industry of South Africa. This qualification serves as an entry level qualification into the specialised area of road transport against the backdrop of the transport industry as a whole. WHAT CAN THE LEARNER EXPECT

This programme will equip the learner with some of the following skills required in this industry:
• Applying basic road transport managerial principles
• Applying safety, health and environmental protection procedures
• Obtaining and communicating road transport operational information
• Ensuring compliance with routing and scheduling
• Supervising employees
• Communicating and conducting interpersonal relations in industry
• Ensuring compliance with routing and scheduling

DURATION
This programme can be completed over a minimum duration of one year and a maximum of two.
MODE OF DELIVERY
Contact sessions will provide the learner with the interpersonal support for the learning to take place. Furthermore, a workplace component will allow the learner to apply knowledge learnt in a workplace environment.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Prospective learners must be competent in Communications at NQF Level 2 or equivalent and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 2 or equivalent.
